Chronically Well

Founder Channing Barker was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was 16. In the early years, she and her family felt alone, overwhelmed, and uncertain about the future. In the decades since her diagnosis, Channing has met countless other MS patients who feel the same. How could she leverage her experience with symptoms, doctors, treatments, and the emotional rollercoaster of illness to help others feel less alone?

Chronically Well offers an online community where people diagnosed with MS can share their stories, connect with others, and learn about developments in research and treatment. The platform is a space where authenticity and openness is valued; where a recently diagnosed person can find hope and community; where they feel seen, understood, and less alone. A place where it’s ok to be Chronically Well, and occasionally sick.

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.

Chronically Well’s visual identity centers on an abstracted brain illustration, with “bright spots” that mimic the lesions seen on the brain scan of a patient with MS. Putting a different spin on the language, Channing is a bright spot in the world of MS; people with MS can find bright spots in their lives; and new research and treatment options are bright spots for the MS community.
