Jen Stands for Arkansas

Jen Standerfer ran for the Arkansas House of Representatives in District 13. As a servant-leader who sought to bridge bitter divisions and bring people together, she needed a campaign identity that would appeal to both sides of the aisle. Jen’s moderate platform reached out to the people in Northwest Arkansas who are desperate to come together, listen, collaborate, and work toward solutions.

The visual identity for Jen Stands for Arkansas takes its inspiration from the Walton 5 & 10 on the Bentonville Square, the very first Walmart store. A traditionally American color palette of red, blue, and vintage white evoke feelings of patriotism and small-town values. A modern spin on retro typography is paired with barbershop stripes invites a range of constituents into the movement—from the farmer who grew up here, to the hipster who relocated for a job at Walmart.
